I took the bench of the 401st District Court on January 1, 2025. The 401st District Court is one of seven general jurisdiction courts in Collin County and serves all citizens in Collin County in the areas of criminal, civil, and family law.

Before taking office, I practiced as a high-level prosecutor in two counties and then later ran my own law firm as a solo practitioner. As a prosecutor, I personally tried more than 100 serious cases to a jury, including: murder, child murder, child abuse, rape, child sexual assault, domestic violence, drug possession, and gang violence. In addition to my personal trial work, I also trained lawyers and law enforcement locally and statewide in advanced trial skills. My prosecution experience was not solely focused on criminal law. I also supervised an entire division at the DA’s office for almost 2 years dedicated only to protective orders (which are family law cases). During the pandemic, I supervised 20 attorneys responsible for more than 10,500 cases across 7 courts. Upon leaving the District Attorney’s Office, I enjoyed my time as a small business owner, during which was able to practice in multiple counties and federal court. In 2023, I was selected to serve as the defense attorney for the County’s first Adult Mental Health Court.

Since January 2025, it has been my privilege to serve the citizens of Collin County through the office of District Judge. I am honored to hold this position and work daily to deserve the trust this great community has placed in me.
